Salary Survey-(Indian Banks)-Banking is fast emerging as a preffered choice among job seekers and has turned into a major employer.
Indian banks are expanding across the globe like never before. The size of the growing Indian market and its integration with the global economy make global expansion a critical prioroty for major Indian Banks.At the same time, there are a lot of people exiting. Attrition though is a universal problem prevalent across all industries.Indian private sector banks are doubling their manpower every year - this explosive growth is not just confiend to the big metros but has also shifted to tier II and tier III Indian cities. Today, 15-20% attrition among the employees is true of most banking institutions. To tackle this many banks have resorted to various plans like stock options, performance bonus etc.-where  employees perform then there are ample rewards for every one. Stock options have become increasingly popular as it fosters a sense of entrepreneurship among the employees by giving them a stake in the business. In banks today the pressure to perform is always there, but pressure and hard work is always compensated by ample rewards. Banks have also tied up with major institutions / universities to run certificate course on banking thus increasing the  available talent pool .

Salaries, in banking sector is all set to grow approx.17% this year among the highest in the industry across all mojor sectors. The annual entry level salary ranges from 2.65 lakhs per annum to about 45- 48 lakhs for people with relevant skills and with about 13-14 years of experience. The rising competition from the private sector banks is forcing the public sector banks to tighten thier belt and face the rising challenge.The challenge in the banking sector recruitment is all about finding the right people - and to provide them the right training .
